Changelogs
Version 2.11
Tiny update. Safe to update mid-game.
The mod was adding a visible effect to your list of magic effects while the blanket was on you. This is now gone.
Version 2.1
Safe to install/update mid-game.
I've added a failsafe to remove "stuck" blankets if they don't disappear automatically for whatever reason. Just need to exit the cell and they'll disappear if no one is using them. Not sure if this applies to pre-existing blankets. In those cases, just select the blanket with the console, and type "disable".
Have you ever got the "wrong blanket" for the current style of bed that you are lying on? This means there was a "disabled" invisible bed in the game on top of your current bed (lol just vanilla skyrim things) and my mod was detecting the disabled bed first and spawning that corresponding blanket. This is now fixed in 2.1.
Added an "if" check that will remove an unnecesary line generated in the debugging log. Thanks to krypto5863 for pointing it out!
Version 2.0
Let's get the basics out of the way: Safe to update? Yes. ESL flagged? Yes. Now, let's get to the fun part.

Santa. You better watch out! You're getting some tough competition this year. The talented, patient, kind and local legend PaganoWagano saw my crappy meshes and textures in the previous version of Use Those Blankets and thought: "Oh hell no, what the heck are those! I could do a better job with my left paw while hanging upside down. Jay, burn those with fire! I'm remaking every single blanket and I won't take no as an answer!"
It was technically not those exact words, but kinda! As the fire devoured all my old meshes, PaganoWagano spent months making and remaking blankets. This journey involved burritos, temakis, cocoons, cats, a creepy body bag that stared at me from the corner of the room and Skyrim's very first IKEA. Yes, this is all factual. No, please, don't ask. You don't want to know.
We went from 11 different blanket meshes in the original mod to... 54!!! 54 different blankets. Each bed type (Noble, Orc, Elf, Common, etc.) has their dedicated blanket. Most of these have variations so not all the blankets in one room look the same.
The quality of these blankets are way, way superior than that of the original mod which I put together without having any idea of what I was doing.
All blankets have now a thicker and a ligher variation. Meaning, if you lie on your bedroll wearing armor, the bedroll will look bulkier than if you lied there without armor or only wearing light armor. This will help with armor clipping through the blanket. However, depending on the size of your character and their clothes it might or not clip. (Yes, if you go to sleep with your grandiose wedding dress, it will clip lol.) You can define that NPCs sleep in their underwear via Go To Bed if this is an issue in your game. Perhaps patches or different bed models can be made down the line for different mods too.
No more separate NPC/Player blanket activation method. This means blankets will spawn automatically when you lie down in a bed. If you don't want the player to use blankets, remove this spell from the player via the console. Drop a comment if unsure how to do this and I can help you.
People lying on the floor or on hay (Hello Sofia, hello hearthfire street kids) will no longer have a magic blanket that spawns out of nowhere. I know, I'm a monster.
There's a new method to spawn double bed blankets. This should fix the issue some of you were having where the blanket spawned in the wrong side of the bed.
Unfortunately, the update is pretty big, I imagine most patches or submods of UTB will be temporarily broken until the authors fix it.
Again, HUGE THANKS TO PAGANOWAGANO for working on the new meshes!! May your winters be warm under a thick blanket.
Version 1.03
Safe to update.
Less blocky models for all types of blankets and bedrolls. They should be more rounded and look a bit less minecraft and a bit more Skyrim.
Removed the texture of the bedroll, so the mod will now use whatever retexture you have for your bedroll.
Corrected the size of the texture that still remains in the mod (The bed furs). Thank you, John!
Patches and addons have been made by a couple of mod authors. Feel free to search them on nexus if you need them: Hendraheim Patch, Spooning patch and Fluffy and Comfy Blankets (a mesh remodel that will fit wider body types and that includes actual nice models). I hear more are on the way too, so rejoice! <3 Thanks everyone for your help!
Version 1.02
Tiny update. Safe to update.
Improved mesh for the bed blanket. Check the difference here: https://i.imgur.com/nfWVo3k.gif
Kudos to Nicola for the mesh (and Toostruus for reaching out!) You're awesome, may you walk on warm sands, friends.
Version 1.01
Safe to update.
Tiny update: Adds support for controllers or people that activate the bed to exit it, instead of using the forward/movement key. You guys are worse than players that use the jump key to exit sitting in Immersive Interactions, you hear me? Worse!! =P
