    It's done.

I never thought I'd get to say it, but the mod is finished. Hairstyle count is now at 146. That's not quite every do in the game, but pretty close. Left out are some very short or rigid cuts (that don't need physics), unique characters (yes, that's Serana), oh, and children. Those will not be added in the immediate future.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the project during development, by downloading, endorsing, commenting, posting images and voting for Mod of the Month. I would never have finished this if not for you.

Hey jg1, windows defender does this weird thing currently where it false flags almost all .7z files as having a trojan and refused to allow it to download.
Uploading as .zip fixes circumvents this.

For users: go to windows security>virus & threat protection>virus & threat protection settings>turn off real-time protection
You can turn it back on as soon as the download is finished.

Thanks, I'll consider switching format unless this blows over. File size will be 2-4 times bigger, but that's not an issue for the main files.

Check out this mod by Mharlek1 if you want additional race/gender options for these hairstyles. It takes a lot of work to make something like this, so big kudos to Mharlek1!

Hi. Please, could you be able to make Serana's hair SMP?

Is it safe to update the SMP-NPC file on an existing save?

Hi, great job on this one!! Thanks!
Question: is there a way to change weights somehow? the hair of the NPCs if there is a tiny bit of wind are just floating sideways in sort of a stiff motion, very different from what i see on the videos (I am in VR), so I must be doing something wrong. As far as I can see I have no hair mod aside from KS Hairdos - Renewal, which is not affexted by this mod at all, but the remaining vanilla hair that is left is moving too much and unrealistic. I downloaded all the HDT and SMP files required.
    Thanks for any help

Does anyone know how to get this working on VR? It works perfectly on flatscreen, but I can't get it to work on VR.

I use "Vanilla hair remake SMP" and "Vanilla hair remake SMP - NPCs". And game keep crashing with "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". I found the reason.

The reason was in "FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP". Namely, during the installation process, the mod did not detect my version of the game (1.6.1170.0.8). So it was installed with the option "Skyrim version - Not yet supported". That's why there weren't enough necessary scripts.

What I did: I deleted the SKSE folder in the installed mod. I opened the archive of the mod and found there the files that should have been installed if the mod had been able to identify the version (in my case, this is the folder "V1_6_1170_NOCUDA_AVX2"), took the SKSE folder from it and placed it in the installed mod. Everything worked after that.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with Enderal, if anyone's wondering.

Not true. I'm starting my second playthrough of Enderal currently and have decided to heavily mod it this time around. All the hairs in this mod came out fine in the character creation screen, and even the Enderal NPCs that use vanilla hairs in Skyrim now properly use this mod's remade vanilla hairs after I exported FaceGen for every NPC then corrected them with SMP FaceGen.

Would you mind uploading or sharing with me your fix, please? :o Currently trying to use this in Enderal SE.

While jg1 has set relatively open permissions for Vanilla Hair Remake, the permissions also state that this mod cannot be converted or patched to another game. To me, it’s kinda iffy on whether or not that applies to Enderal, so I’m waiting for the all clear in the PM that I sent them before I decide to upload it. I figure that setting up a mod page on Enderal SE’s Nexus with my FaceGen files will be the easiest solution for people in the future wanting to use Vanilla Hair Remake with the game.

If I hear from jg1 and get approval on it, I’ll reply back with a link to the Nexus page. If I don’t hear back in the next day or two (or I get denied permission,) then I’ll be happy to PM you a link to a drive or something for the files!

Hey idk why but this mod makes my game CTD, i'm new to modding so idk if it's an incompatibility issue or a load order issue.

Real bummer since i've been using this mod on xbox but i can't on pc.

Is there a way to make those hairstyles fit the COtR custom race heads? In Racemenu the custom race heads seem a bit bigger than those hairstyles.

A patch is needed for COtR but sadly there is none on Nexus yet. I really hope someone makes one.
