Merge similar mods into one. (FNVEdit = TES5Edit = TES4Edit = ...) -> This is all the same program called xEdit. Just rename the xEdit.exe to the game you want to edit. (For Skyrim TES5Edit.)
Only one point was 'missing'/not explicitly said in this tutorial: At the point, where one choses another file to be its new Master file, the chosen Master file has to be higher in the load order, than the mod we want to merge inside it. Lower mods can be merged into higher ones.
If I equip an enchanted weapon and then hotkey switch into a different weapon and back, the charge reverts to 0, and if I switch again to the other weapon then that one also goes down to 0. The workaround to this is to hotkey switch into something else first, like a spell, then to a weapon.
I'm trying to narrow down what's breaking my NPCs pathfinding (People not walking where they should, bunching up in towns etc). Does this mod have a constant script going to keep checking the state of enchantment or anything? Thanks
I've been grateful to use PWER for years. I would love to see it ported over to SSE, now that alpha SKSE and SkyUI are at least partly up.
Skyrim still has basic bugs in it, even SSE and after years of Unofficial Patch bug-fixing. I just quit one session with my flaming scimitar 90% charged, rebooted the game and hey presto my scimitar is no longer flaming. It has zero charge. Tried quitting and reloading and yes, the charge is gone for good. What a game!
EDIT: for anyone who might be interested, after typing the comments above, I tried loading PWER as is into SSE. It looks fine in SkyUI MCM, but the recharging doesn't seem to be happening at all.
Oh good point! I hate having to use other mods to justify my paladin's use of enchanted weaapons. Even if those other mods come up with some good lore reasonings.
I am in dire need of this mod, I've tried almost everything to make it work. Whats the correct file placement of mod components, since I'd rather install it manually?
Perfik ! One less chore to do when I get home from my travels each evening. Even my Ebony "Grim Reaper" Bow gets almost fully charged after eight hours kip if I haven't been hammering its use. It does have a ridiculous amount of charges though - level 100 enchanting plus an Elixir with a three second window is off the scale. It takes three Grand soul gems or more to fully recharge from empty.
But the chore for me "was" looking after my dual wielding follower, Rayya, who refuses to dual wield unless I take both weapons, fully recharge both, put them in a container so that they stack, get them back out and return them to her. Thanks to you that's now a thing of the past.
Thank you so much for sharing. Happily endorsed. 11/10

Or just use 1 enchanted weapon ...
I wonder what causes this.
