Looks like my plans for vegetable icons are scrapped since Dielllo's new patch for Extra Icons for FIS adds everything I would ever want, so instead this patch will focus on improving compatibility between our mods and slight improvements to the food and beverage plugin. 28.12.2024
Check out images for all the changes.
I'm super happy with how the new drink icons came out.
The newly included sorter plugin is a little rudimentary, but it will do the job just fine for now. Eventually I intend for it to be the only food-related sorter plugin you would need.
I'm also thinking about adding some new icons for various vegetables, so look forward to that.
Happy New Year, everyone! 12.10.2024
All the complexity has been resolved, and the sorter plugin itself is now sparkly clean and working as intended.
The new "Add Component Tags Extended" plugin works in an inverse way compared to the original, meaning it covers all tags that are attached scrappable items with the option to input tags you would like to exclude, compared to with the original plugin having to input each tag it should apply to. Shipment items are excluded by default, with a convenient toggle to change that setting.
With this patch, all the issues have been resolved; all that's left is to add customization to the plugin.
I also have some ideas for new food and alcochol icons, so look forward to that in the near future.

The complex sorter plugin ended up being a lot easier to make.
Although I'm not 100% satisfied with the plugin, and I hate that there are advanced installation steps for the mod to work properly (even though someone who uses a complex sorter should be able to do it correctly), the plugin should be more than enough for the average user.
In the future updates, you can expect some customization, removal of any complexity from installation, and a plugin version of thisIsCollectible.

Sometime in the future I will add a complex sorter plugin.
Make sure to report to me if you find any of the icons don't fit the rest.
Also, if you would like to see certain icons added to the mod, go ahead and leave a comment. I might consider adding it in the next update.
For some weird reason, when I have this mod enabled, the FIS settings are totally ignored. I have all categories disabled but with this mod, the categories seem to be forced to show.
Hey, sorry to bother, love your icons, but for the life of me i can't fix this ERROR: (Error while running plugin "cpp_Xeniu_cs_addcomptags" script "AddExtraCompTags": target for var "record."FULL - Name"" doesn't exist.)
Any advice is greatly appreciated, started when i uninstalled (Hot Diggity) and installed (You Are Exceptional). Fallout version is downpatched to ver.: 1.10.163.0 with NG BA2 Support
I have no idea what the error means, nor what those mods are, but the one thing I do know is: if you uninstall a mod during a play through, you're going to get some sort of problem, either minor, or save breaking. If the mod you uninstalled had references or scripts, or anything like that, your game is now looking for what was in the mod you uninstalled and that is most likely the cause of the error. I hope someone more knowledgeable comes along to help you, but yeah, never uninstall mods mid play. It never ends well.
Tried new game and everything seems to work. The mods are skills, perks and leveling overhaul. I get the error message when i run complex item sorter to apply tags to all the items, i hope this explains it better
I had this issue with before with other sorter plugins. All I can really recommend is to download beta version of complex sorter available on collective modding discord. There is also active channel on that discord for helping people with sorter issues.
MO2 is reporting that new version is 2.1.2B but I have already installed the new file. The file name contains 2.1.2B. Is that new file with old name? Can you please check so that MO2 does not falsely report new version available as 2.1.2B.
Hi, there's a new version of Extra Icons for FIS, as i guess Icon Expansion Pack needs to be updated as well? Asking cos i'm getting an error when generating Complex Sorter patch with missing 3 TagIdents: D_Coffee, D_Tea and F_Donut.
Those are not from my mod and my mod doesn't overwrite any files from that Extra Icons for FIS.
I probably will make a compatibility patch since the author added some overlapping icons when I get to making mods again, but currently it shouldn't be a problem to run both mods together.
Sorter will choose the tags, and everything should work just fine in the game.
So I investigated those errors, and it looks like Dielllo just forgot to copy over those tags after he split the AIO plugin into separate parts.
Even with those tags missing in the plugin, the sorter will apply them to intended items without the problem, so in this case, errors are just meant as small warnings but are otherwise harmless.
I'm using the complex sorter option, and everything works perfectly however for some reason in the inventory/trade menu the raw meats and produce show up in the aid tab instead of the food tab.
Wow that same thing happened to me. Thank you for confirming it was this mod. I was really confused why that was happening. Only happens with raw meats
I feel like it would bloat inventory too much to add separate categories for each item.
If you are willing, you could easily add those categories yourself. All you need to do is go to Interface/ItemSorter/FIS/Categories.Addons XeniuIconEditCategories.xml, then look for the line with id BoardCard and then replace that line with the line for each new category you want. Below I gave you an example of how you make a board game category.
Thank you kind sir But i didn't mean multiple categories, just one for all Ketaros related items. I see in xml file there's already a Ket category with all the tags, but for some reason, in my game there's no category like that, maybe im doing smth wrong
But all other categories work, or do you not have any categories? Maybe you didn't install all of the FallUI modules. Can you send an inventory screenshot?
All the other categories work like a charm, only the Ketaros doesnt. I did rename them in Russian language, since i play in Russian. But i don't think that is the problem, since i renamed your other categories, like This Is Collectible Addon and they work fine. Here's an XML i have, maybe i missed some steps. And i'm really sorry for bothering
So I tried out using cyrillic alphabet and everything seems to be working fine.
Honestly I have no idea what could cause this. Your xml looks fine so the only thing I could possibly suspect is maybe you have some other xml in your modlist overwriting this one. You could try changing id= to something else and see if it does something.
Im playing with Flashy's Advanced Needs 76. I installed this mod, and it somehow messed up my item tags, purified water wouldnt show up in the wheelmenu. Had to remove unfortunately,
You can fix this issue very easily: in the files of wheel menu, go to Interface/Wheel_menu and open conf.xml with notepad. Here you add the missing tags of the purified water inserting this line under the Drink section: <pattern kind="tag" value="WaterPure" />
Weird question but would there be a way for me to switch the locket icon back to the old version and give the new icon a watch tag? It'd be useful for Fallout Who Regenerated immersion. Thanks for any help
It would be fairly easy, you just need to download 1.2 version then go to Interface/ItemSorter/FIS/TagConfiguration.Addons/ and delete every file besides XeniuIconEditLib02.swf and XeniuIconEditLib.xml those are the only files you would need from old version. Then you open XeniuIconEditLib.xml and replace its contents with <?xml version="1.0"?> <TagConfiguration>
Then you go to current verion of the mod and Interface/ItemSorter/FIS/TagConfiguration.Addons/ XeniuIconEditLib.xml and search for locket and replace name with PocketWatch and PocketWatchColl.
Then you go to Interface/ItemSorter/FIS/Categories.Addons XeniuIconEditCategories.xml and add PocketWatch and PocketWatchColl to where I put locket tags.
Then you go to Complex Sorter\Plugins XeniuIconEditCategories.ini and replace the line Model\MODL contains "Props\LocketSilver.nif|Props\watch.nif" = Locket with two lines Model\MODL contains "Props\LocketSilver.nif" = Locket Model\MODL contains "Props\watch.nif" = Locketand add two tags at the bottom PocketWatch=[PocketWatch] PocketWatchColl=[PocketWatchColl]
and lastly you go to Complex Sorter\Plugins Add Component Tags Extended.ini and add
Hi there! Its just great what you doing here and also with Extended Fake Interiors. Thanks a lot for sharing!!
Would you think of some kind of workaround similar with Reaper's Smokeables Sorting Enhancements? Mostly to add a smokable category in the aid section in case we use mods like Simple Smokes or others that add the kind of items.

Had to remove unfortunately,
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<TagConfiguration>
<tags iconLibraryFile="ItemSorter/FIS/TagConfiguration.Addons/XeniuIconEditLib02.swf">
<tag keyword='Locket' icon='XeniuIconEditLib02.Icon07' subicon="M8r.Repo.Ingot" colorname='gray75,gold' category='' tagSortBefore='' />
<tag keyword='LocketColl' icon='XeniuIconEditLib02.Icon07' colorname='gray75' category='' tagSortBefore='' />

and add two tags at the bottomModel\MODL contains "Props\watch.nif" = Locket
PocketWatch=[PocketWatch]
PocketWatchColl=[PocketWatchColl]
and lastly you go to Complex Sorter\Plugins Add Component Tags Extended.ini and add
SPECIAL:TagIdent equals PocketWatch, not KEYWORDS contains ObjectTypeLooseMod, not "CVPA - Components" exists = PocketWatchColl
KEYWORDS contains UnscrappableObject, SPECIAL:TagIdent equals PocketWatch= PocketWatchColl
Thats it.

Thanks again and hope you have a awesome year!
I tried it only with Simple Smokes and is working great. Best of both worlds! Thanks for the quick update.
