Changelogs
Version 2.5
Fixed muzzle flash location.
Version 2.4
Added a new aim model for the Uru; it previously borrowed that of the Submachine Gun. Recoil reliably moves up and to the right with a tighter angle of variation. Minimum potential spread is slightly smaller.
Added unique instance naming for the different attachments: The gun's name will change to Uru Carbine, Experimental Uru, Uru M683, and Uru II depending on the barrel. Folding and M683 stocks will prefix Folding Stock and Collapsible Stock to the name.
Rebalanced stats for stocks to have more logical progression: Having no stock equipped properly gives the worst accuracy with a greater hipfire spread and faster ADS time. Stocks logically progress in accuracy according to value and whether or not it is a full-length stock. Different length stocks determine whether the gun is treated as a rifle or a pistol for gameplay purposes. *This affects things such as Rifleman/Gunslinger perks, melee finisher animations, HUD icons, and weapon display rack placement.
Experimental suppressor sights are now only available in the workbench with the integrated suppressor barrel currently equipped.
Integrated suppressor barrel now has a slight bonus to hipfire accuracy while crouched.
Missing null muzzle attachment added to the Ikezawa Special, allowing a compensator to be added if the integrated suppressor barrel is removed. *This will not retroactively take effect if updated on an existing save.
Version 2.3
Fixed lighting issues caused by improper specular map formatting.
Version 2.2
Fixed missing sounds - unlike those for materials, meshes, and textures, the folder for sounds should not be plural. Download is not required if you already have the last version installed; simply rename the "Sounds" folder in Fallout 4/Data to "Sound".
Added barrel, sight, and stocks based on the SACO M683 (an American-made copy of the Uru)
Added iron sights and stocks based on the Uru II prototype
Replaced the "experimental suppressor" loading screen with a "different attachments" one
Renamed some attachments for consistency purposes
Tweaked some values for the already-existing sights and stocks to have a smoother progression between the different attachments
Version 1.1
Added loading screens
This mod adds the Brazilian Uru submachine gun to the game, with a few different barrels, muzzles, and stocks for added customizability, all historically accurate attachments used by different variations of the Uru. It has the same fire rate as the vanilla submachine gun but packs a much harder punch with a smaller magazine. For historical info you can check out Forgotten Weapons' video on the Uru and this article by Ronaldo Olive.
The Uru uses .45 ammo, and you can find it on enemies, vendors, and faction members throughout the Commonwealth starting at level 15, though the starting levels are staggered - you'll find it more and more often after level 20, 25, and then 30. There's also one very special legendary variant you can find out in the world, all I'll say is that it's inside a boat in the northern part of the map. The gun uses the vanilla submachine gun animations, so I'd recommend using Grab the Damn Mag if you want to reduce reload clipping.
The different attachments include:
A carbine-model barrel and stock
An experimental suppressor with optional integrated iron sights
Iron sights, barrel, and folding stock used by the Uru II prototype
Sight, barrel, and collapsing stock used by the American-made SACO M683 (a copy of the Uru)
